Volunteering with Dunedin RDA

RDA volunteers are extremely important and we simply could not run the programme and care for the horses without them. In order to run our programme we are looking for some strong and forward-thinking volunteers to join or leading and side walking team.
The role requires the following attributes:
– Physically fit & healthy as leading and side walking can at times involve a large amount of walking over uneven ground
– Committed & reliable
– Eager to learn
– Level-headed with a sense of fun!
– Health and Safety conscience
– At least 14 years of age
Volunter Benefits:
Join a friendly team, learn new skills, have fun, positively impact riders and people in need within our community and lots of horsey cuddles.
Horse experience is NOT necessary
All training is provided.
Not able or interested volunteering for the programme? No worries! There are lots of other volunteering opportunities for all ages with us e.g. paddock duties (feeding & rugging the horses, cleaning water troughs and mucking out), maintenance jobs & fundraising to name a few!
Here are the steps to becoming a volunteer
